Channel your Christmas spirit into your outfits this Christmas. Loose takes a look at how you can recreate festive outfits based on these iconic Christmas characters.

Love Actually (2003)
In our list of Christmas flicks, it is no secret to anyone that Love Actually has become a go-to Christmas film, with loads of style potential for outfits to keep you looking stylish and comfy this festive season. Kiera Knightley’s character Juliet and her white off-the-shoulder top with different textures radiate simplicity and can be recreated with items of clothing that can be found in your own wardrobe!
To recreate Juliet’s girl-next-door look, pair light blue boot cut jeans with an off-the-shoulder top, in muted colours with subtle detailing. Add gold jewellery to pull it together, and keep your hair and makeup effortless. To channel the Christmas spirit of the 00s, wear a top or dress with feather detailing or mesh to replicate her wedding dress, which you can style into a Y2K girl-next door effortless yet chic outfit.

Another outfit that can be easily replicated is Mia’s black turtleneck. At Christmas, jumpers are a staple piece that you can’t go wrong with, but for a seductive edge to your outfit, style a ribbed jumper or turtleneck to channel Mia’s seductress look. Accessorising this outfit by adding a necklace (replicating the film's infamous locket plot) will tie this look in place. We love Mia’s bold red lip and bold eyeshadow, perfect to pair with this seductive Christmas look.

Mean Girls (2004)
A classic anytime of the year, the fashion in this 00s chick flick remains iconic. It’s impossible to ignore the matching sexy Santa outfits that the plastics wear in their performance at the Winter Talent Show. We love the flirty and feminine twist to the classic Santa costume and this outfit is the perfect combo of y2k girly fashion and Christmas spirit.
To style this outfit yourself, grab a Santa hat, a Christmas red top and skirt. We love the white fur trim along the top, and the colour palette of red and white is the perfect Christmas colour palette. Lip gloss is a must to complete the look — it’s what Regina George would want!
For a more casual take, a red halter or bandeau top paired with knee-high black boots and jeans is the perfect way to channel your inner Y2K girly girl whilst styling classic Christmas colour of red and white. To style this look up, add a black belt and gloves for a sophisticated edge.

The Grinch (2000)
Another timeless Christmas film, add festive fun to your outfit by styling grinch green! Experiment with Christmas tree green or a darker shade such as a dress or a staple green top to stand out and look festive.
Matching pink and red with white is the perfect combo to recreate Cindy Lou Who’s girly style. A dress or frilled top is a great way to make this look casual, but is still cute and feminine. Add pink blush to replicate Cindy Lou Who’s rosy cheeks, and iconic pigtails.
Add a fun Grinch inspired design on your nails and a Santa hat to tie the look together, and some festive earrings with Christmas ornaments to channel your Christmas spirit!

The Holiday (2006)
A fashion icon both on and off the screen, Cameron Diaz’s wardrobe in The Holiday is perfect inspiration for outfits this festive season! Her never-ending suitcases of outfits are cosy and stylish —what could be better? Pair whites, beige, and browns to recreate Diaz’s look, such as a wrap top paired with a white skirt and blingy belt to dress it up.

To keep it casual, you can’t go wrong with an oversized woolly jumper! Build up many layers to recreate the cosy look, and a matching hat and scarf (even inside, according to Diaz’s character). We love the sophisticated edge of the brown and cream coat, accompanied with a matching bag. Whether it be chunky cardigans and knitwear of formal wear, her character’s wardrobe is the perfect inspo for outfits.
